About the School
The Vasant Valley school was established in 1990 and currently boasts of an enrollment of 1250 students. The school operates out of a well equipped campus spread over 8 acres in Vasant Kunj. Vasant Valley has a reputation for being an extremely progressive school. The school had adopted a semester system for academics. No ranks are given to students and there is a continuous emphasis to balance academics with overall development. A significant number of students of the school are now studying overseas.

Facilities
The Vasant Valley School is housed in two buildings that face each other. One building houses the junior school while the other houses the senior school. The buildings are linked by a common assembly area that doubles as basketball court. Each building has its constituent classrooms, science labs, dance/ art/ music rooms and library arranged in hexagonal pattern around a central courtyard. The senior school has its own gym and there are extensive sports fields behind the school.

Age Criteria and Seats in 2023-2024
Admissions in 2023-2024 were made to the Foundation i.e. Pre- School class. The minimum age for eligibility was 3 years as on 31/03/2023. The total seats available were 93, out of which 23 seats were reserved for the EWS category, 19 for the Management quota and 51 for the General category.

Admission Criteria
The school uses a point- based system for admissions to Foundation class. The criteria and their weightages are shown below

Neighborhood 30 points.

Students residing within 10 km get 30 points, those residing between 10 and 15 km get 20 points while those residing more than 15 km away get 10 points.
Sibling 20 points.

Applicants are given 20 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school.
Alumni 10 points.

Wards of alumni get 5 points if either parent is an alumnus and 10 points if both parents are alumni.
Staff Child 10 points.

Wards of staff get 10 points.
Proven track record of parents 30 points.

Points for the track record of parents are awarded by first specifying the area in which the track record has been achieved (from a predefined list) and then awarding 1 points for each achievement at the state level, 2 points for each achievement at the national level and 3 points for each achievement at the international level. These points are awarded individually for each parent
Total 100 points.


Documents Required
The school requires that successful applicants produce the following original documents for verification-
  • Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation.
  • Proof of residential address (Ration Card/ Water Bill/ Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill/ Passport/ Voter I- Card/ UID Card).
  • For sibling cases- details of class and section of sibling.
  • For alumni- School leaving certificate.
  • Track record of parents- appropriate documents.

Cutoffs in 2023-2024
The cutoff for admission was at 44 points.

Class XII Results
The school average of all the students who appeared in the Class XII examination in 2022-2023 was 89%. 59% of those who appeared scored more than 90% in the aggregate.
