About the School
St. Thomas School was founded by Miss Helen Jerwood on 11th March 1930 and is one of the few schools in Delhi that have completed their platinum jubilee. St. Thomas school is an unaided minority Christian school affiliated to the Church of North India.

The school has two campuses. The Senior School is located on Mandir Marg and houses 1300 odd students in classes VII to XII. The Junior School is located in Karol Bagh and is home to 1300 students in classes Kindergarten to VI. The Junior School campus also has a creche.

Facilities
The facilities available at St. Thomas School include the Helen Jerwood Hall which is an auditorium equipped with the latest sound and lighting systems and capable of seating a 1000 people; three computer labs equipped with networking, scanners, printers and internet access; well equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and home science; a five bed infirmary staffed with a qualified nurse; an open air stage and a well stocked library. The school also has a summer home in Mussoorie called Prospect Lodge.

Age Criteria in 2023-2024
The school accepted registrations to the Nursery i.e. Pre- School class in 2023-2024. The minimum age for eligibility was three years as on 31st March 2023.

Admission Criteria
The school uses a point-based system for admissions. The criteria and their weightages are as below

Christian Minority 51 points.

Christian applicants are awarded 51 points.
Sibling 10 points.

Applicants with a real sister already studying in the school are awarded 10 points.
Neighborhood 30 points.

Applicants residing within 5 km of the school are awarded 30 points; applicants residing between 5 and 8 km from the school are awarded 20 points while those residing more than 8 km away get 15 points.
Alumni 4 points.

Candidates are awarded 4 points if their mother is an alumnus of the school.
Single Parent 5 points.

Wards of single parents are awarded 5 points.
Total 100 points.


Documents Required
The school requires that successful applicants produce the following documents.
  • Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
  • For Christian candidates- Copy of the baptism certificate
  • For Christian candidates- Letter from respective Parish Priest/ Pastor testifying to the membership of the Parish
  • Proof of Residence- One of the following- Voter I Card/ Passport/ Electricity Bill/ MTNL Landline Bill/ Adhar Card/ Ration Card
  • For alumni cases- Class XII Certificate of parent along with character certificate
  • For siblings- photocopy of last report card/ fee bill/ I- Card of sibling


Class XII Result
The top scoring students in each category in 2021- 2022 were as follows- Science- 98.5%; Commerce- 98.25%; Humanities- 98.75%. 102 of the 264 students who appeared scored more than 90% in the aggregate.
