About the School
The Delhi Public School Rohini was established on the 3rd of July 1995 by the DPS Society. It initially functioned out of the premises of DPS Mathura Road during the afternoon shift. At that time the total enrollment of the school was 250 students and the total staff strength was 8 teachers. The school shifted to its current building in Rohini in 2000 and has grown considerably. The school now boasts of a total enrollment of about 2500 students taught by 100 teachers.

Facilities
DPS Rohini is well equipped in terms of facilities and has state of the art science labs, computer labs and multi- media facilities. A whole range of sports and extra- curricular activities are available such as skating, cricket, hockey, tae- kwon- do, debating, dance and music. The school has separate libraries for the junior and senior schools. The student: faculty ratio stands at a healthy 25:1.

Age Criteria and Seats in 2023-2024
The admissions made in 2023-2024 were to the Nursery i.e. Pre- School Class. The school had a total availability of 140 seats with 70 seats available for the General Category (50%), 35 seats for the EWS quota (25%), 28 seats for the Management quota (20%) and 7 seats for the Staff quota (5%). Admission was restricted to children aged 3 years or more as on 31/03/2023.

Admission Criteria
The school uses a point-based system for admissions. The criteria and their weightages are as below

Neighborhood 40 points.

Students residing within 12 km get 40 points, those residing between 12 and 15 km get 35 points, those residing between 15 and 17 km get 30 points, all others get 0 points.
Sibling 30 points.

Applicants are given 30 points if a real brother or sister is already studying in the school.
Alumni 30 points.

The candidate is given 15 points if either parent is an alumnus of the school and 30 points if both parents are alumni of the school.
Total 100 points.


Documents Required
The school requires that successful applicants produce the following documents.

Address Proof The school requires any two of the following- Election Card/ Passport/ Ration Card/ Electricity Bill/ MTNL Bill/ Domicile Certificate/ Aadhar Card or Water Bill.
Date of Birth and Girl Child Proof Original Birth Certificate issued by the Registrar of Births or equivalent.
Sibling Proof The school requires the following- Identity Card/ Latest Fee Receipt of sibling.
Alumni Proof The school requires the following- Copy of the passing certificate of AISSE (Class X) or AISSCE (Class XII) issued by CBSE.


Cutoffs in 2023-2024
The school published the points scored by each candidate. The cutoff was at 55 points.

Class XII Results
The top scoring students in each category in 2022- 2023 were as follows- Science- 97.2%; Commerce- 98.6%; Humanities- 97.2%. 81 students of the 199 who appeared scored more than 90% in the aggregate. The school average was 87.47%.
